Hello Sash Sisters,
I’ve seen Nichole address on Special order delays in the community, however I felt it was important that I explain from a manufacturer’s perspective. Hence I just wanted to personally reach out and address on the delays of the ongoing orders - we completely understand the amount of frustration with delay in receiving the preordered pieces; however, every step involved when dealing with a natural material like leather is crucial.

As for the denim-effect leathers, every single skin is hand-stained, and no two skins are alike, unlike generic “printed” leathers, all our denim leather pieces go through process of line - embossing, then hand-staining then color spraying. And there are only few people we appoint to work on the denim-effect leathers and bags because it needs more attention to detail.
The waxed canvases were tricky in the sense that different batches of canvas had different oil absorption rates. We had to figure oil the optimal oil-spraying levels so that the oil wouldn’t transfer to the clothes we are wearing.

The Ginny and Aurora styles prints went through a long series of artwork placement on the Sash bag pattern to ensure leathers weren’t being wasted, and especially to capture the original design of the bag that was originally posted for preorders.
The foils came in from Italy to ensure color and definition, and when you are importing huge rolls of raw materials, it is a process in itself. The inherent leather color then needed to match the “base color” of the foil - a yellowish tone for the Ginny and a pinkish tone for the Aurora. We are currently in the process of transferring the foil to the leathers.

The Merlot pieces are currently beginning their process of production, with stud placements etc being set in at the moment. We were prioritizing the above leather qualities befit we moved on to Merlot, since we wanted to put our full focus on the product, and this applies to every piece we make, leather or non-leather.
That is where our product speaks, that is why we have been in business with Nichole and that is why Sash is not just a product/ brand, it is a community.
We appreciate the opportunity to get transparent with our end customers, not every manufacturer gets the opportunity; however we also want to reiterate that it is because we think of the end use and the end consumer that we are overly attentive to our product and the factors that lead into making this product.

Thus saying, I wanted to reassure that the denim-effect leather bags are on their way to the Sash warehouse, and the other styles are also moving at their maximum pace.
We truly are grateful for our consumers who understand and appreciate us while also being patient waiting for our products, and we hope we don’t disappoint.
